As our educational approach to prospecting continues to scale, we are seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to oversee the performance, development, and impact of our educational seminar efforts.
Role Overview
The Director of Educational Seminars is a behind-the-scenes, operational leadership role responsible for driving effectiveness, scalability, and return on investment of Foguth Financial Group’s educational events.
This individual will lead and mentor a team of Seminar Coordinators while owning event performance metrics, geographic strategy, and ongoing optimization of our seminar program. This role does not host events or present publicly; instead, it focuses on analyzing data, coaching people, and translating insights into action.
The ideal candidate thrives in data analysis, strategic decision-making, and people development—bringing structure, accountability, and clarity to a high-impact function.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5+ Seminar Coordinators
- Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and success metrics
- Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
- Identify training needs and create development plans to improve efficiency and outcomes
Seminar Performance & ROI Analysis
- Own measurement of seminar performance, including:
Attendance and show rates
Cost per attendee / cost per opportunity
Conversion and downstream impact (as applicable)
- Analyze trends across seminars, topics, locations, and timing
- Evaluate the effectiveness of venues, markets, and scheduling strategies
- Turn raw data into insights that inform future planning and investment decisions
Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and continuously refine the educational seminar strategy
- Determine where seminars should be held, how frequently, and in which markets
- Partner with leadership to align seminar strategy with firm growth goals
- Continuously test, measure, and improve seminar approaches based on data
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Advisors, and Leadership to align messaging and goals
- Provide clear reporting and recommendations to leadership
- Act as the primary owner of seminar analytics, reporting, and insights
Systems, Process & Reporting
- Ensure consistent tracking, reporting, and documentation across all seminars
- Improve systems and processes related to data collection and analysis
- Create dashboards or standardized reporting to clearly communicate results
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in seminar / educational event strategy, operations, analytics, or performance-driven roles
- Prior experience leading or mentoring team members preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
- High level of comfort with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and CRM data
- Strategic thinker who can connect metrics to business impact
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in financial services, marketing analytics, or education-based events is a plus
Schedule & Work Environment
- Office-based role in Brighton, MI
- Standard business hours; occasional evening or event travel required
- This role supports seminars indirectly rather than executing on-site logistics

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
